Clean Communities of WNY was established as a Clean Cities coalition in 1994, and incorporated as a 501c3 non-profit in 2000. For 20 years CCWNY has partnered with both public and private fleet managers, owners and operators to evaluate and implement alternative fuels. CCWNY is funded by the US DOE, stakeholders and various outreach contracts to educate fleet operators on the benefits of alternative fuels and the positive effect to our environment as well as reducing fleet operating expenses.
Clean Communities of WNY services the five counties referred to as western new York. Those counties include Niagara, Erie, Cattaraugus, Alleghany and Chautauqua.
